How our pricing works

We don't publish a price list, because a home visit in Donegal for one person and a care home day in Dublin for twenty are not the same job. Here's how we arrive at a price, and what's always true.

Two parts to every visit

Call-out fee. This covers the dentist's travel and time on site, and it's a private charge — neither the Medical Card nor PRSI covers it. Where several patients are seen at one address, such as a care home, the call-out is shared between them and each person pays a lot less.

Treatment. Each treatment is priced individually and itemised on your written quote. You'll always see the treatment cost before agreeing to it.

Medical Card and PRSI

Some treatments may be covered under the Medical Card scheme (DTSS) and some under the PRSI Dental Benefit scheme. Cover varies by scheme, by treatment and by year. We check the patient's eligibility before the visit and show you exactly what is and isn't covered on the quote.

Paying

  • Card or bank transfer only.
  • Treatment is paid for on the day, except denture work, where the balance is due at the fitting appointment.
  • Payment plans are available through Humm for larger treatment plans — ask us.

What's always true

  • Oral Health Care Assessments for care homes are free where we assess a minimum number of residents on the visit, written care plan included. We confirm the number in advance.
  • You get a written quote before anything is booked.
  • No treatment goes ahead without the patient's (or their representative's) agreement.
  • If we think a treatment isn't worth doing, we'll say so.
To get a quote, tell us where the patient is, roughly what's needed, and whether they have a Medical Card or recent PRSI contributions. We'll come back to you with a written price, usually within one working day.
