The dentist comes to you.
Anywhere in Ireland.
Registered dentists who bring the chair, the equipment and the care to private homes, nursing homes and hospitals — for people who can't easily get to a clinic.
- Every dentist is registered with the Dental Council of Ireland and fully insured.
- Private homes, nursing homes, residential care and hospital wards.
- All of Ireland. No travel, no waiting room, no transport to organise.

Built for the people a clinic forgets
Most of our patients are older adults or people with a condition that makes a clinic visit hard or frightening. Their families and carers are the ones who usually call us.
Parents who no longer drive, find stairs hard, or tire quickly. We come to the armchair.
Oral health assessments with a written care plan for staff and family.
Familiar surroundings, a familiar face beside them, and no rush.
Wheelchair users, post-stroke patients, people receiving palliative care, and anyone housebound.
Everyday dentistry, done at home
We bring a portable chair, lighting, suction and an intra-oral scanner. Almost everything a high-street practice does for a routine visit, we can do in a bedroom or lounge.
Dental check-ups
A full examination of teeth, gums and soft tissues, with an intra-oral scan where needed, in the patient's own chair.

From your first call to the follow-up
- Tell us about the patient
Call, use the form, or chat to Elena. We ask who the patient is, where they are, and what's worrying you.
- We check cover and send a quote
Medical Card and PRSI eligibility confirmed in advance. You get a written price before anything is booked.
- The dentist visits
We set up in any quiet room with a socket. Family or care staff are welcome to stay.
- Care plan and follow-up
You receive a written summary of what we found and what, if anything, we recommend next. Return visits are scheduled with you.
Oral health assessments for every resident
We visit the home, assess each resident who wants to be seen, and give staff a written Oral Health Care Plan. Where we assess a minimum number of residents on the visit the assessment is free of charge — and there is never any obligation to go ahead with treatment.

What families ask us first
Where does Dentist2U travel to?
All of Ireland. Our dentists visit private homes, nursing homes, residential care facilities and hospitals nationwide.
What do you need from us on the day?
A quiet room with a comfortable chair or bed, a little floor space and a mains socket. We bring the portable chair, lighting, suction and everything else.
Do you accept the Medical Card or PRSI?
Some treatments may be covered under the Medical Card (DTSS) or PRSI scheme, and we check eligibility before the visit. The call-out fee itself is not covered by either scheme.
Can you treat someone living with dementia?
Yes. Much of our work is with people living with dementia or other conditions that make a clinic visit distressing. We work slowly, in familiar surroundings, and with carers or family present.
Do you offer same-day emergency call-outs?
No. We schedule visits as quickly as we can, but we are not an emergency service. If someone has facial swelling, difficulty swallowing or uncontrolled bleeding, contact a GP, an emergency dentist or A&E first.
How do I get a price?
Tell us where the patient is and what's needed, and we'll give you a written quote before anything is booked. Pricing depends on location, number of patients and treatment.
Ready to arrange a visit?
Tell us a little about the patient and where they are. We'll call you back to plan the visit and answer any questions.
