Dental check-ups at home
A proper examination, not a glance. We look at teeth, gums, soft tissues and any dentures, and explain what we find in plain language.

What the check-up covers
A visual examination of every tooth and the gums, a check of the tongue, cheeks and palate, an oral cancer screen, and an assessment of any dentures for fit and wear. Where it helps, we take an intra-oral scan on the spot — a small wand builds a 3D model of the mouth on screen in a few minutes.
We review the patient's medical history and medications first, because many common prescriptions affect the mouth — dry mouth, gum changes, bleeding risk.
Afterwards
You get a written summary: what we found, what we recommend, and what it would cost. Nothing is booked until you've read it and asked whatever you want to ask.
Who it suits
Anyone who hasn't seen a dentist in a while because getting there is hard. For nursing home residents, see our free oral health assessment.
Common questions
How long does a home check-up take?
Usually 30 to 45 minutes including set-up. We allow longer for patients who need breaks.
What is an intra-oral scan?
A small handheld wand is passed around the mouth and builds an accurate 3D model on screen in minutes. It replaces the tray of impression putty, so there is nothing to gag on, and the patient can see exactly what we are looking at.
Is a check-up covered by the Medical Card?
A Medical Card examination may be covered under the DTSS scheme; the call-out fee is private. We confirm eligibility before the visit.
