Fillings and restorative care at home
Catching decay early means a small filling instead of a lost tooth. We do it in the patient's own chair.

What we can do at home
Tooth-coloured (composite) fillings, replacement of old fillings that have broken down, smoothing of sharp edges that catch the tongue or cheek, and temporary dressings to settle a sore tooth before further treatment.
What we'll refer on
Crowns, root canal treatment and anything needing a full surgery are better done in a clinic. If that's the recommendation we'll say so and explain the options, including doing nothing.
Comfort
Local anaesthetic is used exactly as it would be in a practice. We go at the patient's pace and stop if they need to.
Common questions
How long does a filling take at home?
Around 20 to 40 minutes for a single filling, plus set-up.
Are fillings covered by the Medical Card or PRSI?
Some fillings may be covered under the DTSS (Medical Card) scheme. PRSI generally covers examination and cleaning only. We check before the visit.
